The Samsung Digimax S1000 Digital camera is a high resolution digital camera equipped with a true-color filtered 10.1megapixel CCD and a 15x total zoom (3x optical, 5x digital), allowing you to produce high-quality, detailed photos for printing up to poster size.

Samsung Digimax S1000 Digital camera delivers 10 megapixel resolution and a Samsung 3x optical zoom lens for sharp still pictures and VGA movies. With a large easy-to-read 2.5" LCD screen, USB 2.0 High-Speed connectivity, 20MB of built-in memory, a minimum ISO sensitivity of 80, shutter speeds from 8 - 1/1500 second, a fixed 4:3 aspect ratio, a maximum of 10x digital zoom and 14.4x playback zoom, and an MPEG-4 movie mode, the Samsung Digimax S1000 Digital camera takes versatility to the max. Other features include multi and spot exposure metering, seven white balance modes, ten scene modes, and a five-mode built in flash. Samsung's Digimax S1000 stores images on Secure Digital cards. The S1000 can record more than one-hour of high quality VGA (640x480) video at 30 fps when using a 256 MB memory card. It uses 4 AA batteries.
For crystal-clear images under many lighting conditions, these models feature seven scene modes including: Landscape, Close-Up, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks and Beach & Snow. And, for the ultimate in creative control the ?S? series models also feature a Special Effects Hot Key, putting several special effects at the user's fingertips. These effects include: Color Effect, offering a variety of colors, including B/W, sepia, blue, red, green or Negative depending on your photographic settings; Highlight, which keeps the subject in sharp focus while putting the rest of the image into soft focus; Photo Frame, allowing the shooter to choose from nine different types of photo frames to shoot their subjects in; and Composite Shot that allows the user to take two-to-four, and save them into a single file.

"I bought this camera for fathers day for my husband. The price was unbelievable. Once the camera arrived I thoght for sure it must be worth much more than I paid. In doing research, I found it was almost half the price that others were charging. My only complaint is how fast you'll run through batteries. All we had to do was switch to rechargeables. I would definately reccomend to anyone looking for an easy to operate camera that takes great pics."
