The Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera features a high-quality, 3x optical zoom Samsung NV lens and packs a large, 2.5-inch LCD screen which will automatically brighten or dim depending on the current lighting situation. For reviewing and sharing images with others, the L100 also includes an intuitive Multi-Slide Show. With Multi-Slide Show, you can play back images using five different slide transitions and can also set images to scroll to the cameras' preloaded music or their own favorite MP3 files.

Compact and stylish, the Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera Image Stabilization to produce sharp, clear images. The camera also features a number of user-friendly features, including Face Detection, Self Portrait and Auto Red Eye Fix modes. Face Detection technology makes taking pictures of family and friends a snap, as it detects up to nine faces and automatically adjusts focus and exposure to ensure better composition and image quality. Self Portrait mode is a unique functionality that takes the guessing out of taking a self portrait. By utilizing Face Detection technology, the Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera automatically detect the subject's face, adjusts focus and exposure, and will only allow a photo to be taken if the subject is centered in the frame. For enhanced versatility, shooters can remove red-eye during image playback, or for even greater convenience, set the cameras to Auto Red Eye Fix to automatically detect and eliminate red-eye from their images as they are taken.

Another user-friendly feature of the Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera is Function Description. Designed to reduce the intimidation factor of various modes, Function Description automatically provides a brief and easy to understand description of each setting when scrolling through the cameras' menus, helping the end-user determine which setting is appropriate for their current shooting scenario. "I bought Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera for my brother-in-law because he liked the one I bought myself. excellent pictures simple features, excellent battery life.

Nice and small with a big screen. I also like the twist control and the ease of using the macro, flash and self timer. Much easier than the multiple layers of touch screen on my daughter's Sony that cost 4 times as much.

"I don't know a whole lot about cameras, but so far so good. It was definately an upgrade from my old camera. Has a bigger LCD screen. And it is much sleeker. One thing that is different, which I haven't decided if it is good or bad yet, is that it doesn't take double A batteries. SO when the battery dies I have to plug the camera in for a couple of hours instead of just switching batteries.
I also like the zoom option in video recording. And the quality of photos is good enough for me. Like I said I am not a camera know it all and my husband does have a Cannon Rebel XTI that we use for special pics. But Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera is great for everything else! "

"My Canon PowerShot S50 developed a twitchy on and off syndrome and finally stopped working altogether while on vacation in Germany so I looked at what I could get for about 150 Euros and ended up picking the Samsung L100 with 2 GB RAM. It had image stabilization, more megapixels (8.1) and a percieved quality about it that attracted me, although I didn't know that I could have gotten it for much less here. I am embarrassed to admit that I had to go back to the store for them to show me how to use the self timer, because the quick start manual didn't show how and I couldn't figure it out myself. All I had to do was to press the multi control button right side repeatedly until the timer icon comes up and by pressing the right side of that button repeatedly you select the 2 or 10 second option. Then postion the camera and hit the trigger button and it works fine, with little flashes of light telling you when to get ready by increasing in frequency until it shoots a picture. It has a fairly advanced red eye protection system that works well. I am happy I bought it because the other options available were for more money or for less features at that price. The pictures Samsung L100 8.1MP Digital Camera takes are very nice."
